Still dark and stormy …
By Cynthia on May 17, 2009 in fiction writing, writing
but altogether a very different night. The weather is more fit for April than May. Perfect for writing. Although this is not the writing I should be focusing on, it’s about all I can manage after a drenching rain, critiquing the other writers in the group, then doing some spring cleaning.
Just like the long hibernating winter months, the group finally grew and blossomed over the last couple of weeks. We weeded through some submissions, but have found a few good writers that will round out our group. Different levels of expertise and areas of interest, but I think that will make it all the more fun.
The writing from the new members are quite intriguing and well written. We are at different places of finishing; however, I have to laugh at how similar all our goals are. What does any writer really want? TO BE PUBLISHED.
Of course, I want something a little bit more. To make a living, a very good living off my novels. Yes, novels. I am ambitious enough to want to publish more than one.
Now, if someone can share the secret on how to find time to complete the novel that would be worth it’s weight in gold.
Hmm, I wonder, can I add any more cliches to this post?
Well, instead of writing or reading I think I’ll just go turn on the brain drain and veg til the morning hours.
Welcome everyone to our little group. Look forward to meeting the rest of you in a couple of weeks. I hope that ya’ll enjoy our group as much I have/do.
Til next time. Catch ya on the flip side.
Cindy
